Genoa Customs & Classics was born from an idea of bringing good people and good rides together during the pandemic. In 2020 the Nevada Car Coalition began to take shape as car club members and local businesses owners of Nova Tile & Stone put on mobile car shows in Reno, Carson City and Douglas County. Using Nova’s delivery trucks with live bands on them, and a parade of every make and model through neighborhoods we intended to bring some joy and entertainment directly to our local communities.

In 2021, Genoa Customs & Classics was first launched amidst the Caldor Fire and was rescheduled due to the pervasive smoke that filled the valley at that time. Persisting to make this event a reality to help support the local business’s and the township generate funds to sustain themselves coming out of the economic damage from the pandemic, we accomplished our first year with great success and over 150 vehicles and over 500 individuals in attendance.

2022 and 2023 the event continued to grow and adapt to both the event attendees requests, and the residence and business owners of Genoa to ensure this idea continually evolved to the benefit of everyone involved. Now having reached a maximum capacity of 300 registered vehicles, but open to the public for all to enjoy, we aim to further improve this event each year for more fun, more prizes, and above all else, keep bringing good people and good rides together in the beautiful town of Genoa.
